What are custom orthopaedic insoles, and how are they different from off-the-shelf ones?
Off-the-shelf insoles are mass-made in a few generic shapes and mostly add cushioning. Custom orthopaedic insoles are built to your own arch height, heel alignment and gait after a biomechanical assessment, so they support and relieve your feet the way they actually need rather than just padding them.
How does the free first fitting in Pune work?
If you can reach us in Pune, your first fitting is free. Walk in to our Budhwar Peth shop and we assess your gait, arch type, heel alignment and pressure points hands-on, then capture a foam impression or scan of your feet. There is no charge for this first assessment and no obligation to order.
How does the online fitting work, and is it accurate?
Our online fitting assesses your feet over a video call together with a few guided photos and simple measurements you take at home. We look at your standing posture, arch shape and how you walk. It is a reliable way to read your needs remotely, and we follow up after you start wearing your insoles to make sure the fit feels right.
How are my feet captured remotely for custom insoles?
During the online fitting we guide you through clear photos of your feet from set angles, a short walking video, and a couple of measurements. If needed we post you a simple foam impression kit so we can capture the exact contours of your feet. You send it back and we craft your insoles from that.
How long does delivery take across India?
Once we have your assessment and foot impression or scan, your insoles are typically crafted in 3 to 7 working days and then couriered to your door. Most addresses across India receive them within a few days of dispatch, depending on your location.
How much do custom insoles cost, and what is the ₹499 online fitting?
The online fitting is ₹499, and that full amount is credited towards your insole order, so the assessment effectively costs nothing when you go ahead. Insole prices vary with the materials and your foot needs, and we confirm the exact price after your fitting with no obligation. The first fitting in our Pune shop is free.
Do you offer diabetic footwear and MCR or MCP options?
Yes. We fit diabetic and orthopaedic footwear along with MCR and MCP insoles and soft, diabetic-safe materials designed to offload pressure and protect sensitive or neuropathic feet. We help you choose the right combination for comfort and protection. We are a specialist fitting shop, so for diagnosis of a medical condition please also see your doctor.
What if my insoles don’t feel right?
We follow up after you start wearing your insoles to make sure the fit feels right, and we’ll talk you through adjusting them if anything needs settling in.
What payment options do you accept?
We accept UPI as well as card payments through Razorpay, so you can pay securely whether you are fitted in our Pune shop or online. The ₹499 online fitting fee is credited to your insole order once you proceed.
Are you a clinic or a hospital?
No. Comfort for Feet is a specialist footwear and insole fitting shop in Budhwar Peth, Pune, with a biomechanics-led approach to fitting. We support and help relieve foot strain through custom insoles and orthopaedic footwear, but we do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. For a medical diagnosis, please see your doctor.
