Why a biomechanical assessment matters
When your arch collapses, your heel tilts, or pressure piles onto the wrong part of your foot, the strain travels up the chain — into your ankles, knees, hips and back. You can cushion the symptom, but unless you understand how the foot is moving, you’re guessing.
That’s why we’re biomechanics-led. Before we make anything, we assess how you actually stand, walk and load each foot. It turns a vague ache into a clear picture of what your feet need — so the insoles we craft support and correct, rather than just pad.
What we check
- Gait — how your feet strike, roll and push off as you walk
- Arch type — flat, neutral or high, and how it behaves under load
- Heel alignment — whether your heel rolls inward (overpronation) or outward
- Pressure points — where weight concentrates and where pain tends to build
- Your footwear — wear patterns on your shoes reveal a lot about how you load your feet
What happens in your visit
1. Assessment
We watch you stand and walk, study your arches, heel alignment and pressure points, and talk through where you feel discomfort. You’ll leave understanding what your feet are doing — even if you choose not to buy.
2. Impression or scan
If custom insoles are the right call, we capture the exact shape of your feet with a foam impression or scan, so the insole matches your contours precisely.
3. Custom insoles made
Your custom orthopaedic insoles are crafted to that prescription, typically in 3–7 working days, then fitted in-shop or couriered to your door. We follow up after you start wearing them to make sure the fit feels right.

Can’t visit Pune?
You don’t have to be in Pune to get fitted. Our online fitting (₹499, fully credited towards your insole order) assesses your feet over video and from a few photos, then ships your custom insoles to your door anywhere in India — and we follow up after you start wearing them to make sure the fit feels right.

Is the foot assessment really free?
Yes. Your first in-shop biomechanical foot & gait assessment at our Budhwar Peth shop is completely free, with no obligation to buy. If you decide to go ahead with custom insoles, we’ll quote the price for your pair after the assessment.
Do I need an appointment, or can I just walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome — just drop by our Pune shop during opening hours and we’ll assess your feet. If you’d like a confirmed time, you can also call or WhatsApp us ahead on +91 98811 60662 to book a slot.
How long does the assessment take?
A typical biomechanical assessment takes around 20–30 minutes. We look at your gait, arch type, heel alignment and pressure points, then talk you through what we found and your options.
What should I bring or wear?
Wear or bring the shoes you spend most time in — they tell us a lot about how you load your feet. Loose trousers or shorts help us watch your gait. If you have older insoles or a podiatrist’s notes, bring those too.
Will I get my insoles the same day?
The assessment and foot impression or scan are done in-shop. Your custom insoles are then crafted to your prescription, typically in 3–7 working days, and fitted in-shop or couriered to you anywhere in India.
